Browns Todd Monken adds 4 former Ravens coach, record-setting college QB

Cleveland Browns HC Todd Monken continues to add former Baltimore Ravens staff. This time, Ian Kolste, former college QB

While nothing will likely be official for a few weeks, the Cleveland Browns have begun to fill out new HC Todd Monken’s staff, at least on the offensive side of the ball. The Browns defense could still be run by DC Jim Schwartz, but that has been up in the air since Monken got the job last week.

Since then, there have been reports of three different former Baltimore Ravens coaches either joining Monken’s staff or likely to do so:

A fourth former Ravens coach is headed to Cleveland, according to reports, as Ian Kolste rejoins Monken:

According to his alma mater, Whitworth:

Kolste was a record-setting quarterback for the Pirates.  The 2017 Northwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Kolste retired as Whitworth’s all-time leader in total offense (10,467), passing yards (10,124), passing touchdowns (85), pass completions (946) and pass attempts (1,424).  He had a record of 26-6 as the Pirates’ starting QB.

Kolste has updated his social media with his position as the team’s Offensive Quality Control coach:

The Ravens have had a very good offense for years, as well as an overall successful run under John Harbaugh. Now, a lot of Harbaugh’s offensive staff is joining the Browns instead of the former head coach, now with the New York Giants.
