CAF Champions League: Spectacular draw between Simba and Espérance

The showdown between Simba SC and Espérance de Tunis lived up to all expectations on Sunday in the CAF Champions League, finishing in a thrilling 2-2 draw.

Strong in the first half, the Tanzanians took the lead through Shomari Kapombe (39'), before Yusuph Kagoma doubled the advantage just before halftime. Trailing, Espérance de Tunis refused to give in. After the break, Aboubacar Diakité pulled one back for his side in the 64th minute, and then Kouceila Boualia, in brilliant form this season, leveled the score at 2-2 in the 79th.

The match could have swung in stoppage time, but Hamza Jelassi missed a decisive penalty. In the next round, Simba, still bottom of the group, will travel to face Petro de Luanda, while Espérance will head to Stade Malien for a top-of-the-table clash.
