Another high-ranking coach raves about new Browns HC Todd Monken.
Nothing but excellent things have been said about new Browns HC Todd Monken since he was hired, and one of his former employers just gave him another spectacular endorsement.
National championship-winning Georgia Bulldogs HC Kirby Smart worked closely with Monken when the two were at UGA from 2020-2022, and Monken was a huge part of the reason why the Bulldogs were so successful as a program during that span.
They continue to be good friends to this day, and Coach Smart recently commented on Monken becoming the next head coach in Cleveland:
“Todd brought an exceptional level of professionalism and creativity to our program. His ability to develop quarterbacks and craft game plans tailored to our players’ strengths was instrumental to our success. What we accomplished wouldn’t have been possible without his impact. We’re incredibly excited for Todd and Terri.”
Despite rumors of other coaches “not liking Monken”, which have been circulating on social media recently, it doesn’t seem to be the case with anybody of significance who’s worked above or below him.
Monken is also bringing two of his assistants from Baltimore with him to Cleveland in George Warhop and Travis Switzer, an Akron graduate.
