Liam Rosenior has confirmed Cole Palmer came through the Napoli game unscathed and is ready to start against West Ham on Saturday.

Palmer registered two assists against Napoli as he came on at half time to help Chelsea secure a famous 3-2 victory.

The 23-year-old has been plagued by a groin injury this season, and his performance on Wednesday was arguably his best since returning to action in December.

There have been reports linking Palmer with a move to Manchester United, but those are understood to be wide of the mark.

Palmer is believed to be part of a new group of “untouchables” at Chelsea along with captain Reece James and Moises Caicedo.

Rosenior has insisted several times Palmer is happy at the club, and he confirmed the England international is ready to start against the Hammers.

“He came through with two assists and an outstanding performance [vs Napoli],” he told his pre-match press conference.

“He’s available to start [vs West Ham]. Really, really happy.”

One of Rosenior’s biggest tasks is getting Palmer back to his best, and if he can do that there’s every chance Chelsea will secure Champions League qualification come the end of the season.

The Blues have won five of their six games under Rosenior, and will be looking to make it three league wins in a row against against West Ham.

The Hammers are in the relegation zone, but have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks and have picked up results.
