Iowa City Liberty's Jacob Stapleton and Iowa City Regina's Adalee Klein were voted by readers as the Press-Citizen’s Athletes of the Week.
Iowa City Liberty boys basketball player Jacob Stapleton and Iowa City Regina girls basketball player Adalee Klein were voted by readers as the Press-Citizen’s Athletes of the Week for Jan. 19-25.
Stapleton earned boys Athlete of the Week with 54% of the vote.
Stapleton turned in a productive game in Liberty basketball's 72-52 loss to Cedar Falls on Jan. 20. The senior led the team with four rebounds. He also tallied 11 points, three assists and two steals.
Klein earned girls Athlete of the Week with 44% of the vote.
Klein earned a double-double in Regina basketball's 69-26 win over Wilton on Jan. 20. The junior scored 19 points and led the team with 11 rebounds.
