Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a club has come in strong to sign a Chelsea transfer target this month.
Chelsea haven’t done much at all so far in the winter transfer window, but Romano has been speaking on some potential deals that they could still get done before it closes at the weekend. But time is running out, and the reality of Chelsea getting much done at all now is reducing by the day.

Midfielder Douglas Luiz is one player they have been linked with. Although so far, nothing has happened with that one and it doesn’t look like The Blues will be pushing ahead with trying to make that signing.
Luiz to Chelsea has died off in terms of the noise around it, and now it looks like another club are coming in strong to sign him now as well.
Villa in for Luiz
Fabrizio Romano posted on X last night:
“Aston Villa back in active talks for Douglas Luiz after initial approach revealed last week.
“Negotiations ongoing with Juventus while Chelsea are also exploring different options in midfield.
“#AVFC working on Douglas Luiz return as priority with 2 more options on list.”
Chelsea aren’t moving anymore on Luiz it seems, so I believe he will now end up at Villa, as it seems that’s what he wants too.

Joao Pedro scored against Crystal Palace on Sunday and also played a decent game. He’s made a case to now start against Napoli on Wednesday night, but the decision will spit many Chelsea fans.
Pedro has also been speaking to the media since the game and he noticed something about all three on Chelsea’s goals that made The Blues’ lives easier.
