Alabama Crimson Tide legend Nick Saban won seven national titles as a head coach, and while he is retired, one job almost made him come back.

Saban retired after the 2023 season, which ended for Alabama with a 27-20 overtime loss to the Michigan Wolverines in the College Football Playoff. Six of his seven national titles were with Alabama, with his last one coming in 2020 after a 52-24 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The legendary coach appeared on "Fox News" on Friday and was in a joking mood, revealing that Miss Terry asking him to use the vacuum cleaner downstairs made him consider a return.

"I never ever really had a thought about getting back into coaching until two days ago," Saban said. "Miss Terry said I had to run the sweeper in the entire downstairs. So, while I was running the sweeper, the thought occurred to me, 'You know when you were coaching, you had a heck of a lot better job than this.'"

The rumors began swirling after Greg McElroy reported that someone in the know believed a return was in the works. However, there have also been those who have denied these claims, such as Saban's daughter, Kristen.

After posting a video on her Instagram story of Saban walking through the tunnel at Bryant-Denny Stadium and how much she missed it, she quickly addressed the video and pointed out how her father is not coming back to coaching.

Others, like David Pollack, have weighed in on the matter, with the former "College GameDay" crew member believing that Saban would not return to coaching due to the current uncertainty and regulations in college football.

Saban sure does know how to keep things lighthearted amid the offseason rumors about his return.
