Pair Of Hurricanes Prospects To Take Part In World Junior Summer Showcase

The Carolina Hurricanes will have two prospects representing them in this year's World Juniors Summer Showcase.

The Carolina Hurricanes will have two prospects representing them in this year's World Juniors Summer Showcase.

Filip Ekberg and Viggo Nordlund will be playing for Team Sweden at the showcase, both players who were drafted by Carolina in the 2025 draft.

The tournament, which is hosted by USA Hockey in Minneapolis, will take place from July 27 through Aug. 2., features U20 players from Sweden, Finland and the USA and is a preparatory event for the eventual World Junior Championship.

Team Sweden's first game is at 5 p.m. EST on Sunday against Team USA Blue.
