Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff added to 2026 Pro Bowl roster

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff has been named to his 5th Pro Bowl.

Jared Goff will take part in the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl games.

The team announced on Monday that he has been added to the All-Star Game, replacing Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, who will be playing in Super Bowl 60 in two weeks.

Goff was the primary alternate for the NFC squad, finishing behind Darnold, Matthew Stafford, and Dak Prescott. Despite finishing below those three, he was above everyone but Stafford in most statistical categories. Take a look:

Passing yards:

  • Stafford: 4,707
  • Goff: 4,564
  • Prescott: 4,552
  • Darnold: 4,048

Completion percentage:

  • Goff: 68.0
  • Darnold: 67.7
  • Prescott: 67.3
  • Stafford: 65.0

Yards per attempt:

  • Darnold: 8.5
  • Goff: 7.9
  • Stafford: 7.9
  • Prescott: 7.6

Passer rating:

  • Stafford: 109.2
  • Goff: 105.5
  • Prescott: 99.5
  • Darnold: 99.1

Regardless, this will be Goff’s fifth Pro Bowl and his third with the Detroit Lions. He was named the co-MVP of last year’s Pro Bowl, along with Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy.

Back in December, five Lions were named to the 2026 Pro Bowl: running back Jahmyr Gibbs, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, right tackle Penei Sewell, defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, and linebacker Jack Campbell. Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, Brian Branch, and Kerby Joseph were all named alternates, but with all but Williams sporting an injury, it seems unlikely Detroit will add another Pro Bowler to the games.

The 2026 NFL Pro Bowl will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 8 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN. Unlike previous years, the Pro Bowl will be part of the Super Bowl activities in San Francisco. You can see the initial Pro Bowl roster here.
