Before competing in the NFC Championship game on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams sent a heartfelt gift to Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Alex Vesia.

The Rams gifted Vesia a signed Rams jersey with the name “S. Vesia” printed on the back. Vesia and his wife, Kayla Vesia, lost their newborn daughter, Sterling Vesia, in October during the Dodgers’ World Series run.

Vesia thanked the Rams and expressed his support for the team ahead of the NFC Championship game against the Seattle Seahawks.

“Thank you to the Rams for all the love and kindness. Cheering you guys on, bring it home!” Vesia wrote on an Instagram story.

The Rams ultimately lost by a score of 27-31 to the Seahawks on Sunday. Therefore, the Rams’ season is officially over, and the Seahawks will be playing in the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford is still up for the NFL Most Valuable Player Award, and wide receiver Puka Nacua is one of five finalist for the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award. The winners of the awards will be announced on Feb. 5 at the NFL Honors Ceremony.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers are still in the middle of the offseason and preparing for the 2026 season. The team will report to spring training in Arizona in February and will play in their first spring training game on Feb. 21 against the Los Angeles Angels.

Vesia did not compete during the 2025 World Series due to personal circumstances. However, he was a vital part of the Dodgers’ bullpen during the regular season and postseason. Vesia also helped the Dodgers win the World Series in 2024.

The southpaw posted a 3.86 ERA and struck out four batters in 4.2 innings during the 2025 postseason. Vesia was included on the Dodgers’ rosters for the National League Wild Card Series, NL Division Series and NL Championship Series last season.

The Dodgers exercised Vesia’s $3.65 million club option for the 2026 season in November. Therefore, Vesia will be back with Los Angeles for a sixth straight season and will look to help the Dodgers win a third consecutive World Series championship in 2026.
