The growing depth in attack at Inter Milan could reshape the future of Marcus Thuram, prompting internal reflection ahead of the summer window.

Cristian Chivu now has reliable alternatives at his disposal.

Francesco Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny have both delivered convincing performances from their first appearances, allowing Inter to rotate without sacrificing attacking output.

That flexibility has strengthened the squad, but it has also opened the door to broader reflection.

Thuram remains an important figure, even if his recent form has dipped slightly.

However, as reported by Calciomercato.com, Inter are beginning to assess the bigger picture ahead of the summer window.

The French forward joined Inter Milan in 2023 on a contract worth €6m net per season plus bonuses, running until June 30, 2028.

His €75m release clause expired last July, but Inter would still be open to negotiations for a fee in the €60–70m range.

That valuation places him firmly within reach of several Premier League clubs, many of whom already showed interest last year.

There is also a significant financial angle.

Thuram arrived on a free transfer, with Inter paying around €8m in commissions to his entourage but no transfer fee.

Any major sale would therefore represent a substantial capital gain, a factor that inevitably weighs heavily in strategic planning.

For now, there is no urgency to sell.

Thuram continues to contribute and remains part of Chivu’s plans.

Still, with depth improving and market conditions favourable, Inter are aware that next summer could present a rare opportunity.
