Cody Bellinger steps up.
The New York Yankees may try multiple options to fill-in for Aaron Judge in right field.
On Sunday, they entered their first game with Judge on the injured list and new trade acquisition Amed Rosario on the roster.
And in right field, manager Aaron Boone slotted in Cody Bellinger.
He's got Trent Grisham in center and Jasson Dominguez in left.
That's the likely top outfield trio for the time being.
Maybe 6-foot-7 prospect Spencer Jones will be called up once he's done dealing with a back injury at Triple-A, but for now, the Yankees don't have a ton of possibilities aside from letting Giancarlo Stanton play the field.

Bellinger is certainly equipped for the role. Although nominally a first baseman, he's a high-level outfielder who can roam centerfield and has a great throwing arm. He fits into that spot just fine.
And really, the Yankees were a bit crowded in their lineup choices, so while losing Judge is an automatic step down, it removes one decision to be made each day.
For now, it's Bellinger in right field and the Yankees rooting for a quick Judge return.
