Cole Palmer has been the subject of fresh speculation linking him with a return to the north of England, but Chelsea insist there is no issue regarding his happiness at the club. Despite his Manchester roots and past association with both City and United, the forward is understood to be settled in London.

Palmer has held regular conversations with staff and continues to be viewed as a key part of Chelsea’s present and future. While his availability for the upcoming Crystal Palace match depends on fitness, there is no sense internally that he is pushing for a move away.

Jeremy Jacquet stays focused amid Chelsea interest

Jeremy Jacquet remains a player of interest as Chelsea assess defensive reinforcements before the window closes. The Rennes defender has attracted attention due to his composure and reliability, but for now his focus remains on his current responsibilities.

Chelsea are understood to be exploring several profiles across defence, midfield and attack, with Jacquet one of multiple options rather than a sole priority. Any movement would depend on timing, availability and whether the club decide to act in January or wait until the summer.

Ibrahim Mbaye is another young talent being monitored as Chelsea continue to track high-ceilinged prospects across Europe. The Paris Saint-Germain winger gained wider attention after featuring for Senegal during their Africa Cup of Nations triumph.

At 18, Mbaye is viewed as a developmental signing rather than an immediate starter. Chelsea face competition for his signature, and PSG remain keen to keep hold of him, meaning any potential deal would require a shift in stance from the French champions.

Josh Acheampong, Genesis Antwi, and Douglas Luiz updates

Josh Acheampong has attracted interest from Crystal Palace as they explore defensive reinforcements. His ability to operate both centrally and at right-back makes him a flexible option, though Chelsea have yet to decide whether they would consider a loan or permanent exit.

Genesis Antwi is also generating attention, with several European clubs monitoring the teenage right-back. Still part of Chelsea’s youth setup, Antwi may consider a move abroad if it offers a clearer pathway to senior football.

Meanwhile, Douglas Luiz has emerged as a potential short-term midfield option as Chelsea manage injuries within the squad. Currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, the Brazilian is being assessed as experienced cover should circumstances allow a temporary move.

With multiple situations developing at once, Chelsea’s approach remains measured — balancing immediate needs with long-term squad building as the window edges toward its conclusion.
