Bayern Munich got the job done in the Champions League after defeating Union Saint-Gilloise 2-0 to ensure their qualification for the knockout rounds. Today, the Bavarians will square off against FC Augsburg in a repeat of the derby which ended in a 3-2 win for the Rekordmeister.
Bayern appears to have shaken off the late 2025 blues and, knock on wood, is back to their imperious best. Augsburg has an almighty task for this match: stop Harry Kane and co from scoring goals. Given that Bayern have already scored more than a century of goals by January, it’s all going against Augsburg.
