FC Bayern might be losing a center-back this summer.
Kim allowed to leave in summer (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl)
According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich will allow center-back Kim Min-jae to leave this summer if he is looking for an exit:
Kim Min-jae’s situation is as follows: if he wants to leave in the summer, Bayern would not stand in his way and would listen to suitable offers. If he wants to stay, then the centre-back situation will be sorted (as long as Upamecano extends). Kim has a market and suitors. Chelsea have him on their shortlist.
Kim’s situation is fluid to say the least. If Dayot Upamecano extends his contract (which is not a certainty), the Korean could look to leave. He could also just be itching for an exit even if Upamecano leaves. While Kim has been good this season, it just feels like he will want to be in a place where he is a regular starter next season. That scenario might not be doable in Bavaria, with or without Upamecano.
Rose having doubts about Eintracht job? (Get German Football News)
Former Borussia Mönchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose is rumored to be a prime candidate for the Eintracht Frankfurt job opening, but the 49-year-old might be skeptical of taking the gig:
Kicker reports that Eintracht Frankfurt’s search for a new head coach is not as smooth as they would have expected it to be.
Marco Rose has long been linked as the replacement for Dino Toppmöller, and it is expected that he will cost them around €1m due to his still having a contract at his former club, RB Leipzig.
However, Rose is said to have doubts about taking over as head coach due to the fact that high expectations will be placed upon him as soon as he arrives, something the ex-Borussia Dortmund head coach has complained about in his previous coaching roles.
Football coaching jobs are tough to come by, but even Rose knows the current climate at Eintracht Frankfurt is not great. A club that sells off its best players every year — despite being able to expertly identify and develop young talent — is one that is filled with instability. Rose is aware of that and while being employed is certainly enticing, Rose is probably also a little wary of adding another perceived failure to his resume.
Saudis eyeing Mo Salah, Vinícius Júnior for summer (ESPN)
The Saudi Pro League could make a big push for Liverpool FC’s Mohamed Salah and Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior:
The Saudi Pro League (SPL) wants to focus on signing Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior this summer, according to The Daily Telegraph. Meanwhile, TalkSPORT claims they have plans to bring in 50 “peak-age foreign players” and a host of older players as well. The report names Salah and Vinicius Jr. as well as Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, and Manchester United midfielders Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro. Al Ittihad could be one club in particular that is set for a major revamp with star players N’Golo Kanté, Fabinho and Karim Benzema potentially leaving.

Bayern in the mix for Norwich City youngster? (Carrow Road)
Bayern Munich could be competing with FC Barcelona for Norwich City 16-ear-old left-winger Ajay Tavares:
Bayern Munich are reported to rivalling Barcelona in the Daily Mail to seal a sensational deal to sign 16 year-old Norwich star Ajay Tavares. The highly-rated forward has been chased by some of Europe‘s top clubs ahead of January, but the Spanish giants are still expected to win the race.
Tavares, who made his senior Canaries debut in a July pre-season friendly against Dutch outfit Volendam, was wanted by Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund. But he is reportedly still heading for the Nou Camp, where the plan is for him to play for their Under-19s before moving up to Barcelona B ahead of a future loan move.
Tavares, who has a Portuguese passport which allows him to move abroad, has been capped four times for England Under-17s.
Spurs looking to get rid of Tel, Kolo Muani (TeamTalk)
Tottenham Hotspur could be looking to offload Mathys Tel and might not be exercising the option to buy Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain:
Spurs sources remain adamant that work is continuing on the recruitment of a high-profile attacker this window. More on who they’re primed to bid for later in this piece, but attention is also being diverted by the uncertain futures of Mathys Tel and Randal Kolo Muani.
Tel has grown increasingly frustrated under Thomas Frank and has actively explored a move away, with Paris FC attempting to open discussions. At present, Tottenham’s position is firm in that they do not want the player to leave – despite a new push from the player to leave.
Kolo Muani, meanwhile, is beginning to follow a similar pattern, with sources revealing he is frustrated at how the move has gone so far. The France international is at Spurs on a season-long loan and there is a growing acceptance internally that the deal will not become permanent. The striker’s deal does not contain an option or obligation to buy, and given the minimal impact he’s made, the belief is Spurs won’t attempt to forge a permanent deal from scratch with PSG when the loan expires.
