Six Cleveland Guardians prospects land on MLB Pipeline's new 2026 top 100 ranking.
With spring training just around the corner, now is the season for counting down, ranking, and creating lists of the top players, prospects, pitchers, and everything in between across baseball.
That's exactly what MLB Pipeline recently did, as they unveiled their new Top 100 Prospect list heading into the 2026 season. To no one's surprise, the Cleveland Guardians had quite a bit of representation on their ranking.
Here are all the prospects from Cleveland’s farm system that appear on MLB Pipeline’s list:
- 20. Travis Bazzana
- 46. Chase DeLauter
- 66. Angel Genao
- 89. Ralphy Velazquez
- 95. Park Messick
- 99. Cooper Ingle
MLB.com noted that the list was determined by "The MLB Pipeline team compiles the rankings using input from industry sources, including scouts, scouting directors, and other evaluators. The rankings are an aggregate analysis, taking the players’ skill set, upside, proximity to the Majors and potential immediate impact to their teams into account."
Bazzana, DeLauter, and Genao are the only players listed who appeared on this same ranking a year ago. In 2025, Bazzana ranked No. 17, DeLauter ranked No. 58, and Genao ranked No. 59.
Obviously, the drop is disappointing for this trio, but it’s also somewhat understandable. They all recorded respectable, in some ways elite, stats throughout the season, but they also experienced injuries that forced them to miss a chunk of time in 2025.
The exciting part of this list is seeing newcomers Velazquez, Messick, and Ingle join and be recognized as some of MLB’s top prospects. Especially Ralphy, who, at 20 years old, could continue to climb on this list before making his MLB debut down the road.
Even though the Guardians don’t have a single prospect higher than 20, they still have six players make this list, showing just how deep Cleveland’s farm system is. In fact, MLB executives voted in a poll earlier this offseason that the Guardians had one of the most depth-laden organizations, and this list backs it up.
It’ll be very interesting to see how MLB Pipeline’s list changes for the Guardians throughout the year. DeLauter and Messick are locks, and Bazzana is a possibility, and Ingle could all graduate out of their prospect status by the time this year is over.
Will each of these players be replaced with other members of the Cleveland organization?
