Julio Tavares returns to Dijon
Julio Tavares is back home. The 36-year-old Cape Verde international striker has officially signed with Dijon FCO for one season, until June 2026.
After leaving in 2020 for Saudi Arabia, where he played for Al-Faisaly and then Al-Raed, Tavares is returning to a club where he left an indelible mark. The all-time top scorer in DFCO history (82 goals in 269 matches), he comes back with the ambition to help his former club, now competing in the National, regain its former glory. The announcement was made this Friday by the Burgundy club on its social media channels.

This comeback is more than just a publicity stunt. Dijon is counting on the experience, leadership and striking instinct of their former goal machine to guide a squad in the midst of rebuilding.
