Chelsea’s January has been very quiet so far, as was predicted. There’s been a bit of shuffling around of players on loan, but that’s about it.
The rumours about us signing an expensive defender have even faded away. But there’s still possibly going to be some sales, and Bobby Vincent of Football.London has word of a new one possibly on the agenda.
19 year old talent could be loaned or sold

The Cobham production line of talent has rolled on while the first team has been in turmoil, and another crop of talents are reaching the right age to go and spread their wings in the senior game.
According to Vincent, Ato Ampah could be the next to leave, with “multiple Championship clubs” and teams in Italy interested in signing up the 19 year old this month.
Ampah has a contract until 2028, so a loan to increase his value and a permanent move are both on the table.
The youngster already has a first team appearance to his name, coming off the bench for the patched up group who went to face Astana in Kazakhstan last year, and has plenty of experience training with the first team. He remains a key figure in the Under-21s, and should fetch a solid fee, especially if we include a sell on.
As always, we’d favour a loan just to see if he can really shine and increase his value, or potentially even come back to the first team.
