What time do the Alabama Crimson Tide play the Tennessee Vols in SEC basketball? Start time, channel, streaming info, TV announcers and more.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are back at home to wrap up the third week of SEC basketball play Saturday when they face the rival Tennessee Volunteers at Coleman Coliseum.
Alabama (13-5 overall, 3-2 conference) used a big second-half performance to get past the Oklahoma Sooners, 83-81, last Saturday in Norman for its second straight win.
The Crimson Tide trailed by double digits at halftime before opening the second half with a 12-0 run. Oklahoma went back ahead and maintained a six-point lead until Labaron Philon sank back-to-back 3-pointers inside of four minutes left to tie it at 73-all.
Alabama went ahead for good on Houston Mallette's 3-pointer with 1:53 left, though Oklahoma had a chance to steal a victory in the final seconds. Nijel Pack missed a 3-pointer with two seconds to play, and the Sooners couldn't get off another shot after grabbing an offensive rebound.
Philon led Alabama with 23 points and Aiden Sherrell added 21 in the win over Oklahoma. It was one game after both scored career-highs in points in the Tide's 97-82 victory at Mississippi State earlier that week.
Alabama is ranked No. 17 in this week's USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 poll; Tennessee (12-6, 3-2) is unranked. The Volunteers are coming off an 80-78 home loss to the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday. Kentucky rallied from 11 points down at halftime to get the win in Knoxville.
