Cardinals closer Ryan Helsley thinks there is a 90% he gets traded at the upcoming MLB trade deadline.

The St. Louis Cardinals came out of the All-Star break unsure of what direction they were going to go in at the MLB trade deadline. After getting swept by the Diamondbacks and losing a series to the now 26-76 Rockies, though, that decision seems to be a little clearer.
The Cardinals are still two games over .500 and just 2.5 games out of the final NL Wild Card spot, but they've lost 13 of their last 19 games. The biggest reason for the team's recent struggles has been the pitching. In July, Cardinals pitchers have a combined ERA of 5.65, which ranks third-worst in all of baseball.
The good news for Cardinals fans is that they have some pieces that should be able to generate a solid return from contending teams. Like most trade deadlines, contenders are looking to strengthen their bullpens. Cardinals relievers such as Phil Maton, Steven Matz, and JoJo Romero would give a boost to any bullpen across the league.
The name that seems to be getting the most attention, however, is Ryan Helsley. Last year's MLB saves leader and a two-time All-Star, Helsley will be a free agent at the end of the season.
He's indicated multiple times now that he wants to remain a Cardinal and try to win in St. Louis. Less than a week out from the deadline, though, Helsley is pretty confident he's going to be pitching for a new team come August 1st.
“I would say it’s 90 percent I go, 10 percent I stay,” Helsley said.
Helsley picked up his 20th save of the season on Thursday night against the Padres. In 35 innings pitched this year, Helsley has a 3.09 ERA and 1.40 WHIP.
It's been reported that at least five teams have reached out to Cardinals' President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak regarding Helsley's status. Potential suitors could include the Dodgers, Phillies, and Blue Jays—all teams that have previously shown interest in the Cardinals' closer.
