The NFL announced that Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has been added to the Pro Bowl roster, making there six total Cowboys to receive the honor this season.
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson had a much-needed bounce-back season in 2025 after missing a large chunk of last season with a concussion and other lingering injuries.
He posted career highs in receptions and touchdowns as one of quarterback Dak Prescott's go-to targets, and for those efforts he's earned national recognition.
The NFL announced Wednesday that Ferguson has been added to the 2026 Pro Bowl roster. He joins Prescott, kicker Brandon Aubrey, wide receiver George Pickens, offensive lineman Tyler Smith and defensive lineman Quinnen Williams in competing at the annual event the week before the Super Bowl.
Ferguson gets the nod after San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle was scratched from his initial nomination. Kittle tore his Achilles during the 49ers' win in the NFC Wild Card.

"Big Biscuit" caught 82 passes for 600 yards and eight touchdowns in 2025. This is his second-career Pro Bowl after he earned his first in 2023 when he put up 71 receptions, a career-high 761 yards and five touchdowns.
With the achievement, Ferguson joins Jason Witten (11), Jay Novacek (5), Doug Cosbie (3) and Billy Joe DuPree (3) as the only Cowboys tight ends with multiple Pro Bowl appearances.
The sixth player Pro Bowl nomination for Dallas also now ties the Cowboys with the Baltimore Ravens, Denver Bronocs, Seattle Seahawks and 49ers for the most in the league.
According to the team website, Ferguson's strong campaign ranks among the most prolific for a tight end in franchise history. He became just the second tight end to have over 80 receptions in a season, joining Witten, and was one touchdown short of tying the franchise record for the position, a high of nine that is co-held by Witten and DuPree.
This season proved that he can fit in nicely with Prescott and a tandem of 1,000-yard receivers in CeeDee Lamb and Pickens. As Prescott ages, this type of security blanket is invaluable to the veteran continuing the efficient play he had this year.
Ferguson now has the paperwork to defend that comfort in Dallas.
This offseason, the fourth-year star signed a four-year contract extension worth $50 million to keep him here through Prescott's age-37 season in 2029.
The shelf life of a do-everything tight end is never guaranteed, but the pairing next to Prescott and Lamb figures to be one Cowboys fans can grow old with, much like the duo of Tony Romo and Witten in recent memory.
"Ferg" and the rest of the Cowboys Pro-Bowlers will take part in the skills competition and inter-conference flag football game at the Pro Bowl Games in San Francisco the weekend before Super Bowl LX in early February.
