Vitinha reveals the recurring "movie" of missed chances and defensive lapses that doomed PSG. He details the frustrating, familiar patterns costing crucial Champions League points.
On the occasion of Matchday 7 of the UEFA Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain faced Sporting Portugal in Lisbon and lost 2-1 on a brace from Luis Suarez, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia having equalized shortly before.
The Parisians dominated for most of the match, without scoring, then foolishly cracked at the end of the game.
After PSG's defeat, Parisian midfielder Vitinha stopped at the microphone of Canal+ and lamented that Paris played a match seen too many times before.

PSG Dominated But Lost, Vitinha Says Team Saw 'A Movie We've Already Seen'
Vitinha, it seems incredible, but Paris lost this match. How do you explain that?
"I think it's quite simple to explain. We controlled the match, we had too many chances, and we didn't score. It's a movie we've already seen many times. Unfortunately, lapses in concentration, mistakes, a lack of... It's not a lack of commitment, but a lack of concentration, I mean. We conceded two goals, and that cost us the defeat."

It's not the first time lately that Paris has a lot of chances and doesn't necessarily win matches. How do we fix that?
"It's as I said, it's a movie we've already seen many times. It happens many times, many more than we want to see. We do what we can with the chances, but afterwards, if we don't score, it becomes difficult. But when that happens, we must not concede goals. And we even conceded two; we can't do that. So, not a good evening for us in terms of results."
