Algerian striker attracts FC Basel's interest
FC Basel is closely monitoring Amin Chiakha, the promising 19-year-old Algerian striker. Having already represented Algeria twice at the international level, Chiakha also holds Danish nationality.
According to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, several European clubs have set their sights on the young forward, with FC Basel among the frontrunners. Chiakha is under contract with FC Copenhagen until 2029, but is currently on loan at Vejle Boldklub.
A transfer could be on the cards soon, especially since the striker recently missed his club’s pre-season training camp. This season, Chiakha has netted 6 goals in 16 appearances across all competitions. FC Basel is looking to bolster its attacking options following Michael Gregoritsch’s return to Augsburg.
