The Suns’ offense was running and gunning in the first half on Sunday in Brooklyn. In the early minutes, the Suns went on an 8-0 run, which kick-started their performance on Monday. Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks were locked in early as they ended the first half leading the Suns with Booker shooting 5-for-9 with 12 points and Brooks adding on with 16 points of his own.

Jordan Goodwin has been helping lead this second unit, which has truly given the Suns an identity. Phoenix Head Coach Jordan Ott has been delegating playing time to the guys who are making the most out of it, and it has built up their bench that focuses on eliminating mistakes and hard-nosed defense. The Suns have bought in on the defensive end in an entirely different way, as Phoenix is also 7-0 this season when holding opposing teams to under 100 points.

Jalen Green was unable to go on Monday night, but was active in pregame warmups. Green has been sidelined since last November with a right hamstring injury, and the rumblings surrounding his return are that Green will be good to go in Philadelphia tomorrow night against the 76ers. If the Suns can keep up the pressure on offense and let their defense do the work for them, they will be sitting pretty to get a victory in Brooklyn against the Nets on Monday night.
