Another youngster is heading for a January exit.
Barcelona defender Andres Cuenca is reportedly close to leaving Barcelona for a move to Italy with Cesc Fabregas’s FC Como.
According to Diario Sport, a deal which will see the tenager move on loan to the Serie A side is close to being completed.
Cuenca is out of contract at Barcelona in the summer and is said to have received plenty of offers for his services this winter. Barca are hoping to keep a percentage of any future sale as part of the transfer.
The defender made his first-team debut for Barcelona in 2024 in a Champions League win over Young Boys and spoke afterwards about how it has been his dream since joining the club at the age of 12.
However, he hasn’t been able to break into the senior squad on a regular basis and now looks set to join Dro Fernandez and Mamadou Mbacke Fall in moving on from the Catalan giants before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
