Kylian Mbappé sends advice to booing Real Madrid fans

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has this week sent a message of advice the way of the club’s supporters responsible for booing and jeering his teammates over the weekend.

Real are of course fresh off a much-needed victory on Saturday.

After welcoming Levante to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash, Los Blancos ultimately emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result.

Their eventual triumph, however, was marred by the scenes in the stands at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Following back-to-back defeats in the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey over the week prior, culminating in the dismissal of Xabi Alonso, the Real Madrid faithful made well known their feelings with the club’s stars.

Boos, jeers and whistles rained down on Álvaro Arbeloa’s squad across the 90 minutes, with several players having been targeted in particularly harsh fashion.

Speaking during an exchange with the media this week, the aforementioned Kylian Mbappé was therefore asked for his take on these actions.

And the Frenchman made use of the opportunity to send some advice the way of his side’s fanbase:

“I understand the fans who wanted to boo us. We’re not doing things right. What I did not like was that if they’re going to boo, it should be the whole squad. You shouldn’t single out one player. We’re doing poorly as a team.”
