FC Bayern’s Jonathan Tah had himself a day vs. RB Leipzig.
Bayern Munich had many heroes in its 5-1 comeback victory over RB Leipzig. For club board member for sport Max Eberl , non stood taller than center-back Jonathan Tah.
“For me, Jonathan Tah is the player of the match because he won crucial duels in defense where we were disorganized. He won the ball and positioned himself intelligently – and he even scored a goal,” Eberl said as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
On a day where Michael Olise had a goal and three assists in less than a half of play and Manuel Neuer had three incredible saves, it says a lot about how highly Eberl rated Tah.
Per Sofascore, Tah registered one tackle, three interceptions, eight clearances, two blocked shots, and seven ball recoveries. Overall, Tah was credited by Sofascore with 14 total defensive contributions (crucial actions players take to stop the opposition from scoring, including tackles, interceptions, blocks, clearances). The former Bayer Leverkusen star also completed 96% of his passes and had that aforementioned goal as well.
Not a bad day at the office.
