Blades Brown might play eight straight days on Korn Fery Tour, PGA Tour

Blades Brown has a unique opportunity ahead of him.

Blades Brown has a unique opportunity ahead of him. Granted one of the four sponsor exemptions for the upcoming American Express on the PGA Tour, Brown can look ahead to his 10th start on the circuit.

But instead of heading to the southern California desert some time over the next few days, the 18-year-old is instead in the Bahamas, where he had a Sunday morning tee time at 5:50 a.m. ET (6:50 a.m. local time) in The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at The Abaco Club.

For a second straight week, the Korn Ferry Tour has a Sunday-to-Wednesday format, while the AmEx gets underway on Thursday. And that's where the wheels are turning in Brown's head.

Because of a perk earned after a top-50 finish at last May's OneFlight Myrtle Beach Classic on the PGA Tour, Brown got five hours of flight time on a OneFlight private charter. It just so happens that a direct flight from the Bahamas to Palm Springs takes about five hours, so look for Brown to do his best Tony Stewart impersonation and attempt to play both tours back-to-back.

Brown, 18, will first need to make the cut in the Bahamas on Monday evening to make this a reality but if he does play all four rounds on the KFT, Golf Channel reports that he'll hop a OneFlight jet that night to the southern California desert, about 3,000 miles to the west.

Brown is probably already hoping for an afternoon-wave tee time on Thursday at the AmEx golf courses. Especially after an opening 4-under 66 on Sunday.
