Thomas Frank’s future at Tottenham Hotspur appears in serious danger after the shock 2-1 loss to West Ham United on Saturday.
According to journalist Miguel Delaney, Spurs were debating whether to give Frank the Borussia Dortmund Champions League game on Tuesday.
The club’s board are expected to hold further meetings on Sunday as they consider the Dane’s future.
Tottenham wanted to be more patient with Frank, with an incomplete football infrastructure and many of his best attackers missing for some time.
But the atmosphere at the club has turned toxic after the West Ham defeat.
Tottenham supporters turned on Frank after Callum Wilson bundled home a stoppage-time winner for West Ham.
Fans chanted ‘sacked in the morning’ at their own manager even during the VAR check for offside that eventually cleared Wilson’s goal.
The latest defeat leaves them 14th in the Premier League table with 27 points.
Tottenham have lost their previous three matches and are winless in the last five across all competitions.
They crashed out of the FA Cup after losing 2-1 to Aston Villa last Saturday.
The two clubs were charged with misconduct by the Football Association (FA) after the players from both teams engaged in a mass brawl after the match.
Tottenham will host Dortmund on Tuesday before facing Burnley at Turf Moor.
They then take a trip to Eintracht Frankfurt before taking on Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
