National Championship Game ticket prices rose a bit on Saturday after falling steadily throughout the week.
Hoping for prices to fall the closer we get to the day of the College Football Playoff National Championship? That’s still possible, but Saturday’s prices aren’t a sign of good things to come.
Get in ticket prices reached a previous peak of $3,766 on January 9, the day of Indiana’s win over Oregon in the Peach Bowl and just a day after Miami’s win over Ole Miss in the Fiesta Bowl, per Ticket Data. Prices steadily dropped from there, getting under $3,000 on Thursday and Friday of this week before a sharp increase on Saturday.
As of this writing, the price of a get-in ticket sits at #3,848, higher than the previous peak reached after the matchup became official last week. It’s a 32% price increase over the last three days.
Indiana fans purchased the vast majority of tickets to the Rose Bowl and Peach Bowl and Miami fans have a short trip with the game being played both in their home city and in the Hurricanes’ home stadium. We’ll continue to monitor prices over the next few days.
