WEST LINN, Ore. (KOIN) — The West Linn girls basketball team is a force to be reckoned with this season.

At 10-1, the squad has yet to fall to a team from the state of Oregon.

One of the reasons why? The three-headed monster that is comprised of the Buse sisters.

“The announcer will be like Buse to Buse to Buse. One of us assisting each other or something,” said the eldest, Kaylor.

“I take pride in it like, ‘Oh yep!’ exclaimed the youngest, Kinley.

Kaylor and Kyla are juniors while Kinley is a sophomore.

You may have put together by now that the junior duo are twins, but according to the trio, it’s actually a different pair of them that have that famous twin telepathy on the court.

“Me and Kyla have it the most,” said Kinley.

“When they play zone, and I’m high post and Kinley’s low post, it’s like our bread and butter,” said Kyla. “It’s perfect.”

“I know where she is on the court, and she knows where I am, and we can just get each other the ball really easily,” added Kinley.

But don’t worry, Kaylor doesn’t feel left out.

“I think it’s actually good because I can tend to get a little bossy, so just go and do your guys’ thing, and I’ll tell you if you need to switch anything,” said Kaylor through laughter.

It may not surprise you that the self-proclaimed bossy one is a point guard, while Kyla is a wing and Kinley is a post.

Between the three of them, they can field over half of a starting five. That amount of basketball proficiency in one household has its perks.

“If I’m not doing something right, and I can’t get it, I’m going to her first,” said Kyla of Kaylor. “She’ll tell me exactly what I’m doing wrong, and why I’m doing it wrong, and I’m able to adjust and fix it.”

That kind of instant advice won’t be available forever though, as the trio will most likely end up at different schools for college. Kaylor currently has offers from 10 DI programs, including Gonzaga.

“It’s such a great question because I don’t really think I’ve really thought about that. That we have only a certain amount of time with each other because we don’t go into anything thinking like, ‘Oh, we only have this much left.’ It’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, we have so much more to go,’” said Kaylor.

Oh, and the Buse sisters? They’re three of seven siblings.

So, the answer is yes, there is another Buse daughter coming down the line, even if we’ll have to wait a bit.

“We have another set of twins, and they’re six. One boy and one girl, and she’ll be a beast,” said Kaylor.
