See who FAMU softball will play during 2026 season

FAMU softball has released its 2026 season schedule. See who the Rattlers will play in head coach Brittany Beall’s second season.

The first pitch of the Florida A&M softball season is incoming.

The Rattlers are scheduled to play 48 games this season, with their season opener being on Feb. 6 versus the Howard Bison in the Campbell University Tournament in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

Another notable non-conference game for the Rattlers is their annual matchup with Tallahassee neighbors, the Florida State Seminoles. The FAMU at FSU is set for Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. on JoAnne Graf Field.

The Rattlers begin their Southwestern Athletic Conference play when they travel to Jackson State on March 6 for a two-day, three-game series that runs through March 7.

Florida A&M Rattlers head softball coach Brittany Beall coaches up her team during a game.

It will be a rematch of the SWAC Tournament’s Championship round from a season ago, when the Jackson State Tigers defeated FAMU as the Rattlers chased the title in head coach Brittany Beall’s first year on the job.

The 2026 SWAC Tournament is from May 5 to May 8 at the Gulfport Sportsplex in Mississippi.

A key returner for the Rattlers this season is Zoryana Hughes, who made the All-SWAC Second Team in 2025. The junior won the SWAC’s Pitcher of the Year and was Co-Freshman of the Year in her first season at FAMU in 2024.
