Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer will return to play for the Oklahoma Sooners next season, according to the team's social media page.
Mateer threw for 2,885 yards, 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 12 starts last season. Mateer led the Sooners to the College Football Playoffs in his first season with the team. Mateer spent his first three seasons at Washington State.
