Brooks Koepka has returned to the PGA Tour, but he has work to do if he wants to reclaim his old form.
His last full season on LIV Golf ended with just one top-five finish and a missed cut in three of the four major championships. He placed 31st in the individual standings.
Even Jon Rahm, who topped the individual standings, went winless in 2025, and no LIV player picked up a major that year.
But now that he is back on the PGA Tour, the five-time major winner is hoping a return to a more familiar schedule will help him get back into form. Maybe he can even pick up a win or two in 2026.
Regarding Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour, a former champion has made a particularly bold prediction about his future performance.
Robert Damron makes surprising prediction about Brooks Koepka’s PGA Tour return
Robert Damron, a former PGA Tour winner turned Golf Channel analyst, believes Koepka will quickly get back to his best now that he is back on the PGA Tour.
Damron shared his thoughts on X, saying: “Those that think @BKoepka is done winning majors because he struggled last season are gonna be in for a surprise.”
Koepka dealt with injuries throughout the 2025 season, which clearly affected his play. But according to the analyst, those issues should be behind him this year.
Responding to a question about Koepka’s health on X, Damron replied: “Word is that he’s good to go…”
If Koepka performs well now he is back on tour, it could influence other underperforming players to follow suit. That kind of movement could have major consequences for LIV Golf.
Brooks Koepka’s major record speaks for itself
Over the years, Koepka has built a reputation for delivering his best golf when it matters most, especially at major championships. His record in those events stands out sharply compared to his performances elsewhere.
Across 140 non-major PGA Tour starts, the 35-year-old has picked up four wins (3% win rate), posted 25 top-fives (18%), and finished inside the top 25 in 59 events (42%). Those are solid figures, but not quite on the level of golf’s true legends.
But when you shift the focus to majors – where fields are stronger and courses tougher – his stats take a noticeable jump.
In 46 major appearances, Koepka has five wins (11% win rate), fourteen top-fives (30%), and twenty-six finishes inside the top 25 (57%). More often than not, he finds himself right in the mix come Sunday afternoon.
So even if his regular tour form does not fully return, it would be no surprise to see him back in contention at one of golf’s biggest events soon enough.
