Texas A&M freshman offensive tackle transfer Jonte Newman has committed to Texas, On3’s Hayes Fawcett reports. He was On3’s No. 162 ranked player (No. 13 OT) in the Transfer Portal.
As a freshman this past season, Newman appeared in just one game (Auburn).
Prior to enrolling at Texas A&M, Newman was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 319 overall player in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Consensus. He was the No. 23-ranked OT in his class and the No. 42 overall player from the state of Texas, hailing from Bridgeland.
