Arsenal have taken the upper hand in Wednesday's EFL Cup semi-final with Chelsea and their scorer could not have timed his better moment any better.
Ben White put the Premier League leaders ahead in the eighth minute at Stamford Bridge by capitalising on a Declan Rice corner to beat Robert Sánchez comfortably.
The defender ended a 43-game run since last scoring by breaking the deadlock against the Gunners' London rivals, with whom he already had something of a history.
White's last goal for Mikel Arteta's side came as part of a brace during their 5-0 thrashing of the Blues in the Premier League on home soil back in April 2024.
