Two-time Masters champ delivered a message to those in attendance at the 75th Anniversary Pro-Am at Pebble Beach Resorts.
The largest fundraiser in LPGA history kicked off this week at Pebble Beach, and two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson is among those taking part. Watson delivered a video message to those in attendance at the 75th Anniversary Pro-Am at Pebble Beach Resorts, which was later posted on the LPGA's X account.
The fundraiser aims to fuel the LPGA's $13 million One Million MORE campaign, which endeavors to engage one million girls for the game of golf by 2030. The campaign launched in 2023 after the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf program reached its millionth member.
"It’s amazing to see we’ve already reached a million girl golfers, but we need to reach one million more," said Watson in the video. "My [LIV] golf team, the RangeGoats Golf Club, are honored to be a part of this and we want to donate $1,000 for every year of the LPGA. That’s $75,000 tonight towards the program, toward the LPGA foundation, in helping to reach $1 million more."
Watson's LIV team includes Peter Uihlein, Matthew Wolff and Ben Campbell.

Watson noted that wife Angie is a former WNBA player and daughter Dakota has had a club in her hand since she could walk.
"She gets out there with me, loves hitting balls at the driving range," he said. "We have a blast."
Those onsite at Pebble taking part in the fundraiser include Hall of Famers Amy Alcott, Pat Bradley, Donna Caponi, Juli Inkster, Lydia Ko, Nancy Lopez, Hollis Stacy and Jan Stephenson. Additional retired major champs include Solheim Cup captain Angela Stanford, Brittany Lincicome and Michelle Wie West. Current stars such as Nelly Korda, Rose Zhang and Allisen Corpuz are also scheduled to play.
The LPGA Foundation is heavily supported by its Founders Society partners, which include Chevron, Pebble Beach Company and the USGA. Each of these partners donate $1 million annually, according to the LPGA.
"It’s amazing to see how far women’s golf has come over the years," said Watson. "It’s an honor to share the stage with some of these ladies, to meet some of these ladies.
"Thank y'all for all y'all do for golf. Not only women’s golf, but golf."
