Who is Kentucky football losing to NCAA transfer portal? Our tracker

The NCAA transfer portal is open until Jan. 16. Follow our Kentucky football transfer portal tracker for the latest on Will Stein's roster for 2026.

LEXINGTON — The NCAA transfer portal opened for business Jan. 2. And it closes Jan. 16. Except for Indiana and Miami. Their players will have a five-day window from Jan. 20 to Jan. 24 to put their names into the portal, if they choose, after the College Football Playoff national championship game Jan. 19.

Kentucky football and new coach Will Stein have been active since the portal opened.

One player the Wildcats lost was Cutter Boley. The starting quarterback for the final 10 games of the team's 2025 season, Boley committed to Arizona State. The odds-on favorite to replace Boley next season is another transfer portal commit: Former Notre Dame signal caller Kenny Minchey gave his pledge to UK on Jan. 5.

There's a major difference with the portal in 2026, though.

In prior years, there were two windows, one in the winter and another in the spring. Now, the two-week span in January is the only time the portal will be available after the Division I Administrative Committee approved the change last September.

Here are players the Wildcats have added, and lost, via the portal since Jan. 2:
