After the incoming moves in the attacking lineup, with the signing of Robinio Vaz and the negotiations for Donyell Malen, Roma now faces an unexpected obstacle in the race to strengthen their defense.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Leipzig have entered the negotiations for Radu Dragusin.

The German club, unlike the Giallorossi, is ready to make a permanent offer, an option Tottenham prefers to the loan option proposed by Trigoria.

Frederic Massara has so far framed the deal as a temporary transfer, aiming to provide Gian Piero Gasperini with a central defender for a trial and evaluation period.

This strategy, however, clashes with Spurs’ intentions: the London management refuses to grant a buyout option, insisting that the Romanian’s departure be tied to a mandatory obligation.

The inclusion of Leipzig now shifts the responsibility onto the player. Dragusin knows Serie A well, and Gasperini’s system would be ideal for relaunching him after a difficult few months in the Premier League, but Red Bull’s financial stability threatens to upset the situation.
