It appears that one of Chaim Bloom’s most difficult off-season priorities may be about to become a reality. Multiple reports say the St. Louis Cardinals are working to complete a trade of Nolan Arenado to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
I saw this just shared by MLB Trade Rumors. Katie Woo and Ken Rosenthal are saying that Nolan Arenado has agreed to waive his no-trade clause so a trade to the Arizona Diamondbacks can be completed. The talks are described as “serious discussions”.
Obviously more details will be added to this as it’s a developing story that will involve how much of Arenado’s remaining salary will be paid by the Cardinals and what the return from the Diamondbacks will be. Stay tuned.
