Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of goalkeeper Anna Pedersen on a free transfer.
The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 23-year-old joins Charlton Athletic after recently leaving third tier club Rugby Borough. Pedersen dropped into the non-elite game with Borough last season. She made 16 appearances for Borough in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division in 2024/2025.
Pedersen started her senior career on the books of Barclays Women’s Super League club Everton. She found herself of the fringes of the Merseysiders’ first team squad. Pedersen later joined London City Lionesses where she largely provided goalkeeping cover. The player has also turned out for Billericay Town in the senior game.
In April 2023, Pedersen sustained an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury which kept her out of action until she secured her playing return with Rugby Borough last summer.
After getting her first regular run of games last season, Pedersen will be hoping to push hard for minutes with new club Charlton Athletic. The keeper is moving towards a stage of her career where she needs to be playing regular games every season.
Pedersen is Charlton Athletic’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
