Not long after his brother TJ entered the transfer portal, Michigan defensive back Tevis Metcalf decided to do the exact same thing on Monday morning.
The sophomore from Birmingham, Alabama transferred to Ann Arbor last offseason with his brother. He had a minimal impact at Arkansas his freshman season (only making one tackle) before playing in three games at Michigan and compiling three tackles and one forced fumble in 2025.
This is a pretty clear indication that TJ isn’t coming back — he visited Tennessee recently and it seems like Tevis will likely follow his brother wherever he ends up next.
We wish both Metcalf brothers nothing but the best moving forward.
