Recruiting Reset: Mizzou adds Auburn safety Kensley Louidor-Faustin

Mizzou adds SEC safety support following the departures of the last year’s starters.

Mizzou’s been on a tear over the course of the past few days securing numerous transfers from across the country. One specific place Missouri has been grabbing players from: Auburn, Alabama.

The Tigers have picked up three players off the badTigers over the course of the past few days, and I’m going to dive into why Auburn’s Kensley Louidor-Faustin is a great fit for Mizzou’s secondary room.

The Naples, Florida, native committed to the Tigers on Wednesday afternoon and he brings SEC experience in coverage that could mean a lot to Missouri this upcoming season.

Following departures from Jalen Catalon (eligibility) and Marvin Burks (transfer portal) the team knew it needed replacements in the secondary. Bringing in Louidor-Faustin and Notre Dame’s JaDon Blair will be big for replacing those names on defense.

Louidor-Faustin joins 9 other Tigers as Mizzou’s 2026 transfer class is officially starting to fill out. Aside from Louidor-Faustin and Blair, the secondary room still has players like Santana Banner and Trajen Greco, who both recently re-signed with the Tigers. They’ll also bring in Class of 2026 secondary commits Carter Stewart and Brody Jones.

There isn’t too much tape for Louidor-Faustin with Auburn but he does have a game-sealing interception against Arkansas from earlier this year. He had three starts and appeared in 11 games for the Tigers this season. Despite minimal opportunity with Auburn over the past few years, his high school stats are insane. 209 tackles, 13 for loss, 17 interceptions, 31 PBU, eight forced fumbles and five fumbles recovered over four seasons. If that doesn’t tell you about Louidor-Faustin’s high ceiling, I don’t know what will.

Where He Fits

I could see Louidor-Faustin playing in his natural safety position, or dropping into corner coverage because of the help needed there. MU’s entire 2025 cornerback rotation is graduating this offseason, leaving plenty of holes for players to fill in. If Louidor-Faustin can prove he can play man during camp, there’s a shot he gets some time at cornerback with Jahlil Florence being the only other transfer so far at the position.

When He Plays

Right Away. With key departures, the secondary room is open for the taking and I could see Louidor-Faustin earning a spot. He started a few games with Auburn last season and I think he’s only going to get better. I think at this point, he is currently more developed than Blair and both the guys in the room already so Louidor-Faustin could be an instant impact player for the Tigers.

What It Means

This is an important add for the Tigers and it means that they are going to do everything in their power to replace the positions they are losing this offseason. WR and defensive backs were two of the key positions and Drinkwitz and company has already addressed them both. I think Drinkwitz is on the right track this cycle it is just a matter of if he can keep it up over the next few days as the top players available start committing.
