PSG offers a contract extension to their promising winger, but Liverpool watches closely as his intentions remain uncertain.
Eager to extend his contract, which runs until 2028, Paris Saint-Germain has made a contract extension offer to Bradley Barcola. But the French capital club would like to know the intentions of its 23-year-old winger in this ongoing matter.
Having had a less accomplished season than the previous one, during which he had surpassed the 20-unit mark in goals scored and assists, Bradley Barcola nonetheless remains an important player in the Parisian squad even if he is not necessarily an undisputed starter, as evidenced by his substitute status at kickoff for PSG vs. OM on Thursday in the French Super Cup.
However, the 23-year-old winger remains a player highly appreciated by Luis Enrique and Luis Campos, one of the very first players the duo signed in the summer of 2023.
The former Lyon player is now halfway through his contract, which ends in June 2028. At the end of the current season, he will therefore have only two years left on his deal, and PSG has made him an initial extension offer, according to information from RMC.

PSG Makes Contract Offer to Winger Bradley Barcola Amid Liverpool Links
The duration of this extension or the amount of the salary increase that necessarily accompanies this proposal have not been disclosed, but Barcola has not yet responded to it anyway, according to the same source.
While it was Jorge Mendes who negotiated his arrival at PSG, the French international winger has changed representatives in recent weeks, as he is now under the wing of Moussa Sissoko, the other agent most represented within the Parisian squad.
The negotiations for the player's extension had moreover begun with Mendes, and this change has slowed the matter down, as confirmed by a well-known Parisian insider who states that the exchanges between the two parties are positive at this moment.
If PSG has made a contract extension proposal to Barcola, the capital club would also like to know a little more about the player's intentions. It is fairly visible that Barcola would like to be a starter a bit more often, particularly in big matches where Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is regularly preferred on the left flank, but the French winger has also never specifically expressed his desire to leave the capital.
He enjoys a strong standing with several very big European clubs, with Liverpool among the Premier League clubs presented as interested in his profile last summer, but PSG had then completely closed the door.
Next summer, with only two years of contract remaining and a possible desire from the player to leave, the story could be different. The club actually wants to move forward on this extension as quickly as possible, with other meetings scheduled soon, to anticipate a potential departure.
For the moment, this is not yet on the agenda, but PSG would like to know more regarding the intentions of its winger. If Barcola were to request a transfer, particularly in the case where the two parties cannot agree on an extension, Paris would then start looking for a replacement during the upcoming summer transfer window, even if RMC assures that the targeted players have not yet been directly approached by the Parisian club.
For reference, Barcola was the player most used by Luis Enrique last season in terms of the number of matches played, as he was used by his manager no less than 64 times, an absolutely colossal figure which also explains why the Parisian attacker is struggling more this season and accumulating minor physical issues.
