The Ohio State Buckeyes are fresh off a national championship-winning season. They are also returning premier talent players, with wide receiver Jeremiah Smith headlining the roster.
The true sophomore turned heads last year, being among the best wide receivers in the nation while winning a national championship in his first season at the college football level.
They didn't win the Big Ten championship, however, as that title went to the Oregon Ducks -- who were in their first season in the conference.
Both programs will enter the 2025 season ready to make some noise. Oregon will be looking for its first national title in program history, with Ohio State looking to capture its second in a row.
The two sides had an entertaining battle last season, with Dan Lanning's Oregon squad getting the victory in Autzen Stadium.
Smith doesn't hesitate to name "loudest" stadium
Ohio State got the best of Oregon in the College Football Playoff, though, as the Buckeyes went through the Ducks on their way to winning the championship. Still, during Big Ten media days, Smith had some praise for Oregon and the elite environment their fans and stadium bring.
His review?
"It was rocking. Probably the loudest I've ever been in. The fans were definitely getting hyped. Couldn't hear anything," Smith admitted, according to On SI's Bri Amaranthus.

When Ohio State rolled into Autzen Stadium, Oregon took to the final seconds to secure a 32-31 victory, which placed them firmly as the No. 1 team in the country at the time.
Smith and the Buckeyes routed the Ducks 41-21 in the Rose Bowl, however. It was dominance early, as Ohio State led 34-0 in the first half alone.
While Smith cites Autzen Stadium as the loudest environment he's ever played in, the two sides won't square off in the regular season at all in the 2025 season.
Maybe a conference title game or College Football Playoff will bring the two programs to another matchup, though, as the two sides have split the series 1-1 since Oregon joined the Big Ten.
