Chelsea have announced that academy talent Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The Blues are renowned for having one of the best academies in world football, and have produced so many top class players over the years.
Reece James, Levi Colwill and Trevoh Chalobah are established in the first team, whilst Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George were promoted to the first team squad last season.
Ryan Kavuma-McQueen signs first professional contract
The next talent set to make the step up could be Kavuma-McQueen, and he’s really impressed for the Chelsea youth sides.
The 17-year-old has scored 13 goals and registered six assists across 37 appearances for the youth teams, and Kavuma-McQueen has done even better on the international stage with five goals in four appearances for England under-17s.

The left winger has yet to make his Chelsea debut, although he was part of the match day squad for the Champions League game with Ajax last year.
Whilst the youngster is yet to be rewarded with his first team debut, Chelsea have confirmed he’s signed his first professional contract with the club.
There’s plenty of competition in the wides areas, and all Kavuma-McQueen can do is continue to impress and his opportunity will come.
Chelsea looking to sell Tyrique George
Whilst Kavuma-McQueen is trying to get into the first team squad, it looks like George’s time at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end.
George saw a move to Fulham collapse on deadline day last summer, and his game time has been limited this season.

The expectation is George will leave this month, but so far there’s been no developments, although he’s said to be attracting interest from a number of clubs.
There’s fierce competition for places in the wide areas, and George unfortunately isn’t going to get the minutes he needs to develop.
