The Oregon Ducks find themselves in an unfortunate situation.
It's the College Football Playoff semifinal, and it's a rematch with Indiana, and they don't have enough running backs.
This week in practice, they actually had to use two defenders on offense as fill-in RBs.
ESPN's Katie George reported Friday that safety Kilohana Haasenritter and linebacker Brayden Platt got reps on defense.
Jordon Davison has already been ruled out. He has 15 rushing TDs this season.
Noah Whittington is questionable for the semifinal, with ESPN's Pete Thamel reporting him as a game-time decision. Whittington has 829 rushing yards this season.

Behind Whittington, Oregon has two other scholarship RBs: Dierre Hill Jr. and Jay Harris.
Harris is in the transfer portal, but he's expected to suit up for the Peach Bowl. He has 116 rushing yards this season.
Two other backs entered the portal from Oregon's season and won't play Friday: Jayden Limar and Makhi Hughes.
Hughes was the weirdest usage of this season for Oregon. He was a superstar at Tulane a year ago, was a prized transfer pickup and then only ran for 70 yards and didn't get a carry after Sept. 20.
The Ducks also list RB Da'Jaun Riggs as out for Friday's game.
It's unlikely the defensive players would actually see offensive snaps unless even more injuries happen during the game, but just to get through the practice week, Oregon needed them over there. That sums up the Ducks' RB issues for the semifinal.
