Browns head coach search: 2 more candidate interviews scheduled for Friday

The Cleveland Browns head coach search continues with two candidate interviews, Dan Pitcher and Aden Durde, on Friday

In many ways, the first week after the completion of the 2025 NFL regular season has seemed similar to the first week of NFL free agency: Long. In just a few days, the Cleveland Browns fired HC Kevin Stefanski, saw Stefanski getting interviews with a number of other teams, learned John Harbaugh would be available, planned interviews with two in-house candidates, and put in three requests for external candidates.

On Thursday, the team announced that they were interviewing OC Tommy Rees and DC Jim Schwartz.

That leaves interview times needed for Todd Monken, Aden Durde, and Dan Pitcher. Given the NFL’s rules, those interviews must be virtual in fashion until January 19th, since all three are currently employed in the NFL.

According to Albert Breer, Durde and Pitcher will have their virtual interviews on Friday:

Having two interviews a day and on back-to-back days can help the search committee, led by GM Andrew Berry, compare and contrast the candidates.

Monken is the only known interview request that has not had their first meeting with the Browns.
