USC cornerback transfers to Georgia football

After visiting the University of Georgia earlier in the week, USC Trojans transfer defensive back Braylon Conley has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Conley joins Georgia Tech wide receiver Isiah Canion, Clemson safety Khalil Barnes and Auburn linebacker Amaris Williams in committing to UGA via the transfer portal.

Conley committed to USC out of high school in June 2023 when Georgia defensive backs coach Donte Williams was still with the Trojans. Conley is a former three-star recruit from Humble, Texas, and has three years of college eligibility left.

The 6-foot, 190-pound cornerback played in nine games for USC in 2025 including the Trojans' Alamo Bowl loss to TCU. He posted 14 tackles, one forced fumble and had one pass deflection.

Conley is the No. 557 player in the portal and the No. 59 cornerback, per 247Sports. He's ranked as a three-star transfer. His relationship with Williams is a big reason why he is headed to Athens.

Conley's addition gives Georgia more secondary depth. The Bulldogs have lost defensive backs Daniel Harris, Joenel Aguero, Ondre Evans, Adrian Maddox and Jaden Harris to the transfer portal.

Georgia could return Demello Jones and Ellis Robinson as the starting outside cornerbacks for next season. Senior Daylen Everette declared for the NFL draft. At safety, Georgia returns KJ Bolden and Kyron Jones. Rasean Dinkins projects to start at the STAR position for UGA.
