The Hoosiers head back on the road to take on the Terrapins in College Park. Here’s what to know ahead of the matchup.
Indiana men’s basketball (11-3, 2-1 Big Ten) is set to take on Maryland (7-7, 0-3 Big Ten) in a road matchup on Wednesday night.
The Hoosiers’ last outing was a pretty strong 90-80 win over Washington. Indiana took an early lead thanks to some strong 3-point shooting out of the backcourt and managed to hold on for the duration of the context against a Huskies team that depends on inside scoring.
The Terrapins are having a disappointing first season under new head coach Buzz Williams but have been working through a fair amount of injury trouble. Pharrel Payne, formerly of Minnesota and Texas A&M, starts at center but will be unavailable. Former Hoosier Myles Rice transferred to join the Terps this past offseason and plays about 18 minutes per game but isn’t a regular starter.
